NOTES: The People’s Law School is a free public seminar that features local attorneys who are experts in their fields. They will share their expertise in a series of classes in three different topic areas: elder law issues, miscellaneous legal issues and immigration issues. Two immigration sessions will be presented in Spanish. Participants will be able to ask questions and speak with the instructors following each 45-minute session. The sessions on elder law include Social Security, wills-preparation and wills-probate. The miscellaneous legal issues sessions include identity theft, bankruptcy, scams and frauds, and employment law. Immigration sessions cover immigration matters in general with one session in English and two in Spanish.
Additionally, representatives of various state and local agencies will be available to discuss their services and answer general questions in a Community Resource Fair.
