SAN ANTONIO — Angelique De Oliveira paced the St. Mary’s cross country team Friday, finishing atop the Rattlers’ leaderboard at the Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas/HEB Classic.
De Oliveira (Sr., Wattrelos, France) finished 24th individually in 20 minutes, 33.7 seconds, leading the Rattlers to seventh place as a team in the 10-team field.
Finishing close behind De Oliveira, DeAnna Patterson (Sr., Converse, Texas) came in 48th with a time of 21:52.2.
Host UTSA won the event with 19 points behind Alyssa Diaz’s first-place individual finish. The Rattlers posted 218 points at the meet.
For the Rattlers, Allison Manning (So., Mansfield, Texas) posted a time of 22.29 to finish 55th, while Alicia Sanchez (So., Phoenix) ran in 22.50 for a 56th-place finish.
St. Mary’s will be back in action on Monday, when they compete in the pre-regional race in Denver.
