Recently the International Order of Alhambra presented St. Mary´s University with a plaque recognizing the University on its list of national Catholic historical sites-joining the organization´s list of more than 160 sites in the U.S. and Canada, including San Fernando Cathedral in downtown San Antonio. The Texas Access to Justice Commission has selected St. Mary´s University School of Law as the 2009 Law School Commitment to Service Award recipient. According to the Commission, this award recognizes the law school that has most distinguished itself by actively educating its students about access to justice issues, thereby carrying forward one the finest traditions of the legal profession in Texas.
