In accordance with its mission to enhance personal development, University Ministry provides retreats throughout the academic year which target specific groups within the St. Mary's community. Each retreat offers something different for those who have different needs and experiences. The Red Tent Experience - A Woman's Retreat

November 20-22, 2009

This experience is for all the women of St. Mary's: students, faculty, staff, alums and family. It is an opportunity for a woman to put everyday worries aside and concentrate on her spiritual well-being; to learn about her faith and herself. Consider taking time to get away and to connect with the other amazing women of St. Mary's Community. Both a programmed and non-programmed retreat model are offered. Space is limited and cost of the retreat is $45 for students and $60 for non-students (Scholarships available). This retreat is held at TECABOCA, a Marianist Center for Spiritual Renewal located in Mountain Home, Texas. Rattler Awakening #11

February 12-14, 2010

This Cursillo-based retreat is implemented for and by the students of St. Mary's. Retreatants are invited to take time to consider a commitment to a life of faith and how we are called to integrate our faith in all we do. The Retreat is held at Camp Sionito in Bandera, TX. Hour Oasis-A Retreat in the Midst of Your Everyday

February 22-25, 2010

This retreat is designed for those seeking to deepen their Lenten experience through prayer and dialogue. Some retreat models ask one to escape from the everyday for a weekend away. This retreat invites you to connect with your spiritual-self in the midst of the everyday! Retreatants make a commitment to daily half-hour visits with their spiritual guide and one half-hour of private prayer each day of the retreat. Personal schedules are arranged with the Spiritual Guide. Daily opportunities for prayer are offered throughout the week. $5 Donation requested for this retreat. Urban Plunge Retreat

February 26-28, 2010

A weekend retreat to explore the urban realities of poverty and oppression in San Antonio. More info to follow! Save the date! Cost is $25 per student - covers lodging and meals for the weekend. Weekend will begin around 4 pm on Friday and conclude mid afternoon on Sunday.
