Meet with scholar before summer session
Attend faculty research mentor training session
Meet and work with scholar daily (M-Th) during the eight-week session
Discuss and ensure scholar grasp of background and supporting literature
Assist in the identification of a research problem/topic of appropriate scope
Assist in the development of student research proposal
Assist in the design of research method/protocol
Assure appropriate and necessary ethics and HS-IRB/IACUC compliance and approval
Guide data collection and analysis
Guide and review for revision final scholar research paper
Assist in scholar creation of research presentation
Attend McNair Scholars Research Symposium
