Who Should Apply?

The Marianist Leadership Program seeks students who are:

Academically Prepared

High school students applying to the MLP for the first time are expected to have a B average. There may be exceptions to this depending upon all criteria submitted. High school counselors and administrators are encouraged to support the application of students who may be below this exact percentage if they are confident that the student will satisfy the 2.6 cumulative GPA requirements in order to remain in the program.

Transfer or current St. Mary's University students should typically have a Grade Point Average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.

Capable of Christian Leadership

The Marianist Leadership Program is a community builder. By the formation of a transformative faith community, MLP members impact our campus, local neighborhood and community, and Church by service activities, openness to all peoples, with respect and Gospel values.

Growing in Their Faith

The Marianist Leadership Program has as its� foundation a Catholic Marianist Spirituality that is based family spirit, hospitality, faith development in all dimensions of personal growth, and service by faith in action.

*MLP is open to all students regardless of major. Approximately fifteen students per year are admitted to the Marianist Leadership Program. Three openings are reserved each year for persons who have attended a high school educating in the Marianist tradition.
