St. Mary's University, founded in 1852 by the Marianist (Society of Mary) brothers and priests, is the oldest university in San Antonio, and the oldest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest.

Northwest of downtown San Antonio, St. Mary's 135-acre campus is home to five schools: Bill Greehey School of Business; Humanities and Social Sciences; Science, Engineering and Technology; Graduate and Law.

St. Mary's students receive personal attention from some 200 full-time faculty members, 92 percent of whom have terminal degrees, and learn from powerful programs in 44 different areas, in addition to pre-professional programs in medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, allied health and law.
