MARC U*STAR Trainees

Prospective MARC U*STAR trainees should submit their applications during the spring semester. Applicants should be completing their sophomore or junior year. MARC U*STAR trainees will begin research the summer they are accepted into the program. Trainees may participate in the MARC U*STAR program for a maximum of 24 months.

MARC U*STAR Eligibility Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident
• Current full-time student pursuing a higher education degree who has completed 60 hours
• Biomedical sciences major: biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, or engineering science
• Demonstrate a strong desire to pursue a doctorate (Ph.D.) or combined degree (M.D./Ph.D; D.D.S./Ph.D.) in the biomedical sciences
• GPA requirement of 3.0
