Before St. Mary's

Prior to joining the St. Mary's faculty in 1987, Professor Flint practiced corporate law. As an associate and member of Naman, Howell, Smith and Lee, P.C., in Waco, Texas, he performed all ERISA work for the firm's clients and served as securities counsel for the public companies represented by the firm.

Later, he practiced securities law with Lapin, Totz, and Mayer in Houston, Texas, where he worked on several high-yield bond issuances.

As Associate Counsel with Exxon Company U.S.A. in Houston, Texas, he served as one of Exxon's two in-house ERISA attorneys.
