Before St. Mary's:

Active in the San Antonio legal community and well known in legal circles across the state, Bracey practiced at several area firms, specializing in commercial real estate, and has taught for a number of years as an adjunct professor. She has served as president of St. Mary's Law Alumni Association and as a member of the St. Mary's University Board of Trustees. As a student at St. Mary's, she was the editor-in-chief of the St. Mary's Law Journal.
