Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Judicial Affairs and Community Education is to contribute to the holistic educational experience at St. Mary's University, through preventive, behavioral and accountability practices in accord with the ideals of the Marianist Charism. Our contributions assist in providing a safe, respectful and supportive community where students, parents, faculty and staff will be challenged to develop their critical thinking, values, connections to the community, sense of identity, understanding of independence and interdependence and multicultural awareness. Judicial Affairs seeks to balance redemption and accountability by considering the needs of the many with the educational and developmental goals of the one. We strive to interact with each student equitably and professionally while providing an environment of mutual respect and civility.
