About the Program

ITESO was founded in 1957 by a group of businessmen, concerned parents, and the Jesuits as a private Catholic university. ITESO is a wooded campus with excellent computer and other high-tech facilities, library, and more than one cafeteria. The Sport facilities and extracurricular activities are available to all students. ITESO is considered to be one of the top 10 private institutions of higher learning in México. ITESO has approximately 5,000 students, most of whom are from Guadalajara and surrounding communities. ITESO has exchange agreements with various universities, including St. Mary's University, and each year international students attend ITESO for a semester or a year. This is a wonderful destination for students who want to be immersed in Spanish language and Mexican culture.

In order to study at ITESO, interested students must visit the Office of International Education Programs to initiate the process at least one semester in advance, whereby eligibility will be determined.

NEW! Soon students will be able to pay deposits online.
