Celebrating and promoting international education and exchange, International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to recognize the global exchange environment between the United States and other countries.

This year’s University-selected theme for the week is “Transnational Society: Communication, Language and Culture.” Since 2001, St. Mary’s University has celebrated the event on campus to promote international education and intercultural understanding, and to increase awareness and appreciation of our world’s cultures among our students and campus community.
