Visits with the doctor are made by appointment only by calling 210-436-3506. Same-day appointments can be made by calling the clinic or on a walk-in basis. Students are encouraged to call during morning hours if they wish to be seen on the same day.

 Health Center Orientation Checklist

  • Have you submitted your Health Record Form? 
  • If you carry personal health insurance, and will live in the resident halls, or are an athlete, you must submit an online health insurance waiver to avoid being charged for the school health insurance plan.  Online waiver process will become available on June 1st, 2008. Click on "Health Insurance" on the left side of this page to access the online waiver process.
  • Have you received the required vaccinations PRIOR to the start of school?
    • MMR x 2 doses
    • Tetanus shot within the past 10 years
    • Tb skin test within 12 months if you are an international student or if born outside of the USA
  • If you will be living in the residence halls, have you considered becoming vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis?  Freshman, dorm students have a SIX TIMES INCREASED RISK FOR MENINGOCOCCAL MENINGITIS.
  • All required Vaccines and the meningitis vaccine will be available at the Community Fair.
