ALL NEW STUDENTS

The MENINGOCOCCAL MENINGITIS VACCINE is REQUIRED of all new students enrolled at St. Mary's University. Students will not be allowed to register for classes or move into the residence halls unless this information is received by the Student Health Center. It is important to submit this information as soon as possible so that you can register for classes. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST also provide evidence of Tuberculosis Screening. TB screening must be performed in the United States. This information must be submitted to the Student Health Center before the start of classes. International students can also call the Student Health Center for an appointment for TB skin testing.. The vaccines listed below are available at the Student Health Center. Prices are subject to change.:

  • Meningococcal Vaccine $135 (Menactra or Menveo)
    Available during Orientation and established office hours
  • TB Skin Test (PPD)
    Required of all international students. Refer to TB Screening Questionairre for details.
  • Adacel (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and acellular Pertussis) $50
    Recommended for all students at least once in their lifetime.
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) $80 per dose
    Recommended for all students.
  • Hepatitis A $85 per dose
    Recommended for all students.
  • Hepatitis B $80 per dose
    Recommended for all students.
  • Gardasil (HPV) $200 per dose
    Optional

HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) Vaccination Recommendations:

  1. Ideally, the vaccine should be received BEFORE the onset of sexual activity in males and females ages 9-26.
  2. It is recommended for sexually active males and females between the ages of 9-26. In males and females, the HPV vaccine reduces the incidence of genital warts. In females, the HPV vaccine also reduces the risk of cervical cancer.

Please call the Student Health Center if you are interested in the HPV vaccine.

Immunization fees will be charged to the student's account.
