Welcome from the College Panhellenic CouncilSt. Mary’s University Greek life is a prominent section of campus life that every woman on campus should try to engage in during her educational years. Being Greek encompasses a number of ideals and opportunities for women to further enhance their personal lives with this great experience. Greek life at St. Mary’s University provides members of Greek-letter sororities with the opportunity to promote and maintain the four tenants of scholarship, service, leadership, and sisterhood. Each of the sororities on campus strives to maintain the expectation that every student will continue to be a leader within the community and bring a respect to them on campus. Going Greek also offers you an environment with support and encouragement to live out the ideals put forth in each chapter creed. It is your responsibility to allow yourself the chance to find out more about Greek life and decide for yourself whether it is something that appeals to you. Greek life is a great chance for new and continuing students to meet new friends, get more involved on campus, and aid the community through volunteer services. Being a member of a sorority is such a wonderful experience which words cannot be expressed only experienced. There are so many important and beneficial aspects to being part of the Greek life that allow each individual to grow and prosper as a student. Throughout your years at St. Mary’s University, you should try to learn more about Greek life and give yourself the possibility to consider becoming part of this group.
