Greek Organizations

Social Greek Letter organizations are what are known as traditional fraternities and sororities. Most of these organizations have a long established history on college campuses and can be found on college campuses throughout the United States, in addition to other countries. They are governed not only by their national headquarters*, but belong to national councils who provide guidance and policies to all members.

Social Greek Letter organizations must meet basic guidelines and requirements in order to be considered member of these councils. Social Greek Letter organizations at St. Mary's are members of the All-Greek Council (AGC) and/or the College Panhellenic Council (CPC) or the Inter-Fraternity Council (IFC).
