After 12 hours of graduate work, students must apply for candidacy. Candidacy indicates that the student has demonstrated a general knowledge of psychology and the ability to do graduate work. To be eligible for candidacy, a student must have:

1. Completed all prerequisites with a minimum grade of C.
2. Maintained a minimum grade of B in required courses.

No student will be permitted to acquire more than 18 graduate credits without satisfying the requirements for candidacy.
