A minimum of B must be earned in all coursework. Refer to Graduate School Policies and Regulations for general grade performance requirements.

After 12 hours of graduate work, students may apply for candidacy. Candidacy indicates that students have demonstrated a general knowledge of Political Science and the ability to do graduate work, and maintained a minimum grade B in their coursework.

Students must pass a written comprehensive examination, taken during the last semester of their coursework.
