The Master of Arts degree in Political Science is an intensive 36-hour, non-thesis program designed to provide students with a process for the serious, rigorous and practical study of political science. The emphasis is on critical analysis, research, extensive writing, reporting, dynamic discussions, and presentations. The central goals of the program are to provide student professional growth through the acquisition of advanced skills, an integration of knowledge, and the practical understanding and application of politics and political processes. The focus of the program is centered on the intricacies of advocacy, leadership, lobbying, community-building, civic engagement, and campaigning.
