Graduates are prepared for design, development, and implementation of specific electrical products, new products, and novel design of processes and components. In manufacturing situations, emphasis is in selecting appropriate methods, materials, equipment and test procedures to manufacture safe, economical and high performance products and services. Also, because of the rapid changes in electrical and computer technology and the diversity of applications, this program provides a means of lifelong learning and updating of professional qualifications. The basic program in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
