Career Opportunities

Many teachers do not desire administrative positions, but do desire to gain the skills to serve the grade level, department, or school in a more proactive and positive manner. Students are challenged to expand their potential for professional growth through intensive study of their teaching discipline plus a greater understanding of the intervening variables that often inhibit comprehension of the material. In addition, students will be prepared for additional roles within schools, departments, and grade levels. The Master of Arts in Education with Concentration in a Teaching Field will fill a unique niche in the educational environs of San Antonio. There are few, if any, programs like it in the area, and it enables students to see their capabilities and competencies as means of service to others.
