Thomas B. Galvin A graduate of the W. Paige Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Marshall University (B.A. Journalism/Public Relations), Tom also earned his Masters degree in Public Administration from St. Mary's University. For more than 26 years he has served in numerous positions in fund raising, public relations and government relations management.

As Vice President of University Advancement, Tom has led every major fundraising initiative for the past 15 years for St. Mary's, while overseeing the departments of Alumni Relations, University Communications and Development.

Tom has been an instructor and guest lecturer on fund raising concepts and practices and volunteer recruitment at the National Academy of Volunteerism in Washington, D.C. He has served as a member of the United Way of America's national fund raising roundtable and is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Executives. He has been a guest lecturer in the St. Mary's graduate school on topics ranging from fund raising and public relations ethics to the effects of social networking on relationship building.

Gina M. Uvietta Gina joined University Advancement in August 1998. She provides administrative support to the Vice President for University Advancement, in addition to acting as office liaison with the President's Office as well as with vice presidents, deans and the executive directors of alumni relations, communications and development.

Previously Gina worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in the Graduate Dean's Office and the Briscoe Library.
