April 8, 2010: Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology-Embracing National Security Challenges. Starnes Walker is Director of Research in the Department of Homeland Security, Directorate for Science and Technology. DHS recruited Dr. Walker from the Office of Naval Research. As Director of Research for the DHS S&T Directorate, Dr. Walker also oversees the Office of National Laboratories, the Office of University Programs for the DHS Centers of Excellence, and the Academic Fellowship and Scholarship Program Office. He joined the S&T Directorate in January 2007.
May 29, 2009: Mark Gonsalves, Keith Stansell and Tom Howes: Three Americans held hostage in Colombia for five and a half years tell their harrowing tale of survival, brotherhood and rescue. This presentation was held in the Law Library Alumni Room, Friday, May 29, 2009, at 10:30 a.m.

April 23, 2009: Robert M. Chesney, member of the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law and a Senior non-resident Fellow of the Brookings Institute, was a guest speaker for the CTL.
September 21, 2004: Brian Marcus, Director of Internet Monitoring for Anti-Defamation League. Mr. Marcus spoke about "Cyberterrorism: How Terrorists Use the Internet."
April 2, 2004: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony by the Honorable John Cornyn, U.S. Senator, Texas to commemorate the establishment of The Center for Terrorism Law
November 20, 2003: Honorable Steven J. Morello, General Counsel, Department of the Army. Mr. Morello spoke on a variety of legal issues associated with the War on Terror to include the detention of the detainees in Cuba.
January 30, 2004: Congressman Jim Turner (D. TX), Ranking Member, House Select Committee on Homeland Security. Congressman Turner spoke on "Winning the War on Terror."
February 19, 2004: General Counsel James Ho. Mr. Ho serves as Chief Counsel of the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Property Rights, chaired by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). Mr. Ho spoke on "Reforming the Constitutional Legislation Regarding Presidential Succession."
February 26, 2004: Mr. John Washburn, J.D. (Harvard), a career Diplomat and Convener of Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Mr. Washburn spoke on "The ICC and the Prosecution of Terrorists."
