Examinations for Admission and Placement

National Standardized Examinations

NOTE: Bulletins of information are available for many national testing programs in the Student Psychological and Testing Services reception area. Upon request, a bulletin will be mailed to interested persons.

Credit by Examination

NOTE: St. Mary's is an "open" test center for credit by exam, which means that anyone may test here, not just St. Mary's students.

For St. Mary's students, please refer to the "Credit by Examination" brochure available in the Registrar's Office, which outlines St. Mary's credit by exam policies. It is also advisable for St. Mary's students to confer with their academic advisor before attempting credit by exam.

Counseling Client Testing

Upon request by a counselor in Student Psychological and Testing Services, a variety of tests and assessments are administered to St. Mary's students. Scoring of the tests is done by Student Psychological and Testing Services. There is no fee for these tests.

Testing for Professional Licensure or Admittance to a Professional Program

Test Proctoring

Tests requiring a proctor e.g., correspondence tests are administered upon request. A nominal fee is charged for non St. Mary's students. Appointments must be made directly with Jim Willis, Testing Coordinator, at (210) 436-3135.
