Psychiatry Services

Student Psychological and Testing Services is staffed by a psychiatry resident on a weekly basis. Psychiatry residents are in the final year of their medical education, and are supervised by a psychiatrist at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. St. Mary's University students can meet with psychiatry residents to discuss medical aspects of their personal concerns and residents can prescribe medication to aid in the treatment of their concerns. Students are then responsible for obtaining the medication and following the treatment plan. Students seeking a psychiatric evaluation should contact Student Psychological and Testing Services at (210) 436-3135 to begin the process.
