Career Counseling

The process of career counseling gives clients the opportunity to meet with a counselor to discuss issues related to choosing a career. This process may include (a) having the client undergo a career assessment (e.g., the Strong Interest Inventory or the Campbell Interest and Skills Survey), a personality inventory (e.g., the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), or some combination of assessment instruments; (b) meeting with a counselor to discuss personal interests and skills that may suggest potential careers; or (c) some combination of the above.

Through the above process, clients can develop a comprehensive perspective at career possibilities. Career assessment and thorough feedback usually requires 3-6 sessions.
