- Students are required to meet with their adviser in order to register for courses. Upon meeting with students, advisers will give advisees a registration pin number that will allow access to registration. All registration pin numbers will be numeric.
- On the first day of your classification period, registration will begin at 8 a.m.
- During your Priority Registration 3-day period, registration will be available 24/7 except during the weekends. Note that during Priority registration days, registration will not be available during the weekends. Access will be unavailable beginning at midnight on Fridays and resume at 8 a.m. the following Monday.
- Registration access will be deactivated for students who do not register by May 8. Access will be reactivated on the day before classes begin in Summer & Fall 2009.
Graduate/PhD Students:
- Will not require a registration pin number to register.
- Registration access is available 24/7 beginning March 23 through the 1st week of Fall classes and the 1st two days of classes in Summer.
In order to prepare for advising and registration, please do the following:
- Contact your academic adviser to make an appointment for advising.
- Check your Registration Status for any holds that may prevent you from registration. If you have a registration hold, contact that office that has you on hold. You may be able to register anyway. Note, students who have a hold should still meet with their academic adviser to obtain advising and pin number. When hold is resolved, registration can occur.
- Print a copy of your Degree Evaluation from Gateway under the Student Records folder. The Degree Evaluation lists all your graduation requirements and informs you of the requirements you have completed and those that are incomplete. Use the Degree Evaluation and degree plans to help you determine which courses you should take next semester.
- Create a tentative schedule. Use the “Course Schedule Planning Worksheet” to ensure you collect all the information you need.
** Include CRN on the worksheet. It speeds up the Web Registration process. **
- Take your tentative schedule and a copy of your Degree Evaluation and degree plan guide to your advising appointment or group advising session. Remember to request your pin number.
- Register for courses via Gateway during your three-day Priority Registration period. While your register, please keep your Degree Evaluation guide handy to ensure you are not repeating a course you do not need.
- To view your class schedule, select “Return to Menu” in the upper right of the screen. Then click the link entitled “Student Detail Schedule” or “Week at a Glance” in the Registration Menu.
Students who register during Priority and Open Registration will have continuous access to registration, beginning May 9th through the first week of the upcoming semester.
Registration access will be deactivated for students who do not register by May 8. Access will be reactivated on the day before classes begin in Summer and Fall 2009.
If you do not register during your three day priority registration period, the next opportunity to register will be during Open Registration… April 8 – May 8
