About the Instructors
Interior Design
Joyce Bryant, B.A. RID
Allied ASID
TBAE Registered Interior Designer
Ms. Bryant is a graduate of Texas Woman's University with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design. She is a Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE) registered designer, a member of the International Institute Design Association (IIDA). She's also on the executive board of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and has been an Allied Member of ASID for over 25 years. With more than 30 years of interior design experience, her design background has primarily focused on residential clientele. Since 1982, she has designed homes for the Greater San Antonio Builders Association's Parade of Homes, model homes for many San Antonio prominent builders, and has worked with the planning and design boards of several local retirement community developments. She has lectured and held seminars at several San Antonio universities on the "Principles of Design." Ms. Bryant has been teaching the 10-month Interior Design Program since 2002. She is currently the director of the St Mary's University Continuing Studies and Professional Development Department.

Robert "Skip" Shingledecker, CBD, CKD
Mr. Shingledecker began remodeling kitchens and baths in 1973 and has been involved in all aspect of residential design for over 45 years. After meeting the rigid NKBA educational standards, he achieved the CKD and CBD certifications.
Advanced Interior Design
Kathleen Moreland, IIDA
Ms. Moreland is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design. Currently, she has maintained her area of focus in the commercial design industry. After being employed by a commercial design firm for several years, she is now a district representative for a local manufacturer of high end contract textiles and hospitality furniture. Ms. Moreland is a member and serves on the board of the professional organization International Interior Design Association (IIDA) in San Antonio, Texas.
