MySpaceCommencement Exercise
Graduates are to report in cap and gown at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 11, Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center, Auxiliary Gym..
Cap and gown must be worn. Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap at all times. Master's Ph.D. candidates are asked to bring their hoods to Commencement Exercises. Master candidates, hoods are worn as they enter the arena. Ph.D. candidates do not wear the hood. You will be hooded on stage by the Dean of the Graduate School when you receive your diploma. Graduates are not required to return academic apparel following Commencement Exercises.
Academic Procession
Graduates are to be lined up for the Academic Procession, behind the stage, by 1:15 p.m. The procession begins promptly at 1:30 p.m., and you will proceed to your designated seat on the floor of the Greehey Arena. Staff will be on hand to assist you.
Ticket Information
Guest tickets are required as seating in the Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center, Bill Greehey Arena is limited. Please note that handicap seating is limited so disabled guest are encouraged to arrive early. Children age 3 and under do not need tickets provided they can sit upon an adult's lap for the duration of the ceremony. Doors will open at Noon. Out-of town guests of graduates may review a list of San Antonio hotels and make reservations by visiting the San Antonio Convention & Visitor Bureau at www.sanantoniocvb.com.
Overflow seating for guests without tickets will be directed to the University Center Conference Room A, where
they may view a live broadcast of the ceremony.

Duration
Commencement lasts an average of two and half to three hours depending on the number of graduates and length of addresses given.
Photos
FLASH Photography will be photographing each graduate during the commencement ceremony. Complimentary proofs will be mailed to the graduates within one week of the ceremony. You are under no obligation to place an order.

For the benefit of those who are unable to attend the May 2013 ceremony, St. Mary's University will be live streaming the ceremony.
Commencement Memories
The Commencement ceremony will be available via ITunes University and YouTube a week after commencement. Share this milestone with family and friends! You will soon be able to download the ceremony free of charge. You may also purchase a DVD of the ceremony by visiting the University Bookstore.
