Cap and Gown Distribution

Cap and gown distribution will take place in the Career Services Center, located in the Center for Life Directions, Monday,November 23- Friday, December 11 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., excludes holidays and weekends. If you are unable to visit Career Services during business hours, contact Career Services at (210) 436-3102 or via e-mail at career@stmarytx.edu to discuss alternative arrangements.

Please note that there is no extra charge for the cap, gown and tassel for bachelor's degree candidates or the cap, gown and hood for master's degree and Ph.D. candidates. When you pick up your cap and gown, simply present your Rattler ID, give your name, degree, and height.

Please note that Ph.D. candidates are asked to visit the University Bookstore in advance to be premeasured. Contact the University Bookstore at (210) 436-3406 for details.

Cap and gown is worn during the Ring Blessing Ceremony, academic procession and Baccalaureate service on Friday, December 11, and again at Commencement Exercises on Saturday, December 12. Please note that tassels are worn on the right side of the cap at all times. Graduates are not required to return academic apparel following Commencement Exercises.
