Interview No-Shows and Late Cancellations

In an effort to ensure that organizations participating in the OCI program have a successful visit and that we continue to preserve St. Mary's reputation for connecting employers with quality students and alumni, the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center has a no-tolerance policy regarding no-shows or last minute cancellations. If you need to change or cancel your interview time, it is important to make this adjustment before 10:00 am the business day before the interview date in order to allow another student/alumni the opportunity to interview. All cancellations before/after this deadline MUST be called into the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center, (201)436-3102. NO EMAIL CANCELLATIONS!

When a student or alum calls to cancel after the deadline or is a no-show on the day of the interview, he/she is asked to write a letter of apology to the company and send a copy of the letter to the Assistant Director for Employer Relations.

In addition, if the deadline to change or cancel an interview is missed, the student or alum will be placed on probation. After 2 no-shows and/or late cancellations, the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center will block the student/alum's access to the On-Campus Interview Program and said student/alum MUST schedule an appointment with the Assistant Director for Employer Relations to discuss the "no-shows". It is the discretion of the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center whether or not to give the student/alum access to future interview schedules.

Students and/or alumni may change or cancel and interview time prior to the deadline by logging into Rattler Connect and adjusting the on-line schedule or by contacting the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center at (210) 436-3102 or by email at career@stmarytx.edu
