Dr. Amy Diepenbrock serves as the Director of the Center. In this role, Amy oversees the overall operation of the Center, providing strategic leadership for staffing and programs. Amy also creates intentional interactions with faculty, deans, and administration to increase understanding of the Center. Amy represents the Center and St. Mary's in the local community and in national professional organizations.

She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia, her M.S. in Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a B.S. in Psychology from Wake Forest University. Dr. Diepenbrock has presented nationally and published articles on topics related to career development, online student services, and staffing practices in student affairs.

Rebecca Rutledge, M.A. serves as the Associate Director for Career Development. In this role, Rebecca's responsibilities focus on leading our team of career advisors that assist students and alumni. She will also continue to oversee the department's information technology and is responsible for career development reporting. Rebecca continues to work with faculty to create career development plans and to structure internship programs for university reporting and tracking of student experiences.

She earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with a focus in Student Affairs and her Bachelor of Science in Geography-Urban and Regional Planning, both from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas. Rebecca has presented nationally and has served on various career development and student affairs professional associations.


Jordan R. Humphrey, Ph.D

Dr. Jordan R. Humphrey serves as the Associate Director for Civic Engagement. In this role, she assists faculty in creating service learning and civic engagement based courses, including the expansion of tools for curriculum development and assessment of related courses. Jordan also serves as a secondary service advisor for students. In addition, her vision will lead service and civic engagement efforts through our Center which involves responsibility for reporting and supervision of service and civic engagement team members.

She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Penn State University, her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and Bachelor's degrees in Political Science, Spanish, and Music Performance from Franklin & Marshall College. Dr. Humphrey's administrative and research interests explore the areas of civic engagement and community-university relations; institutional mission and tradition; and the history of higher education.

Lauren Sandoval, M.B.A. serves as the Assistant Director for Employer and Agency Relations. In this role, she is focused on building relationships with employers and agencies in order to provide students with increased opportunities for internships, part-time or full-time employment, and service projects. Her priority is to market St. Mary's and its students to the external community in order to increase opportunities for all majors across campus, in the local, State, and national markets.

She earned her Masters in Business Administration from Methodist University, where she graduated top of her class. Lauren also earned a B.S. in Tourism & Event Management from the University of Florida. Lauren's administrative interests explore the areas of experiential learning, internship creation, and public/private partnerships.

Jimmy Linehan, M.Ed. serves as the Career Development Specialist. Jimmy serves as the primary career advisor working directly with students to assist in the job/internship search process. He also advocates for the Center by offering career related presentations in classrooms and throughout the campus. Jimmy's passion is assisting students in personal exploration through assessment, specifically Type-Focus, which helps students find majors that not only align with their interest but with their personality too.

Jimmy earned both his M.Ed. in Counselor Education and his B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. Jimmy also assist students in personal exploration through assessment, specifically Type-Focus, which helps students find majors that not only align with their interest but with their personality too.

Marcy LaBossiere serves as the Civic Engagement Coordinator for the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center. In this role, she assists with civic engagement programming efforts such as Civic Engagement Week, Miracle on 36th Street and more. Marcy also serves as the primary service advisor for the office in order to help increase campus-wide civic engagement involvement.

She earned her M.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina and Bachelor s degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Marcy s administrative interest and experience includes diversity education, civic engagement, advising, international education and peer leadership.

Christopher Cantu, M.A. serves as the Coordinator for the Marianist Leadership Program and Service Programs. In this role, Chris advises and coordinates various Marianist activities related to the Marianist Leadership Program (MLP); which include leadership development, faith formation, and educating the students about the gift of the Marianist mission and virtues. As a part of this position, he also coordinates the WINGS community-based, federal work-study program that allows for off-campus work placement at local not-for-profit agencies for students that qualify for the work-study program.

Chris completed his M.A. in Catholic School Leadership in May 2012. He has his BA in Exercise and Sports Science from St. Mary's University. As an undergraduate, Chris was an active member of the Marianist Leadership Program and in 2005 made a commitment as a Lay Marianist.


Todd Chiscano

Todd Chiscano, M.A. is the Program and Event Coordinator for the Center. In this role, he manages all aspects of the Center's programs and events from logistics to leading student/staff event assistants. Todd also coordinates the marketing efforts for programs sponsored by the Center and will monitor the budgets for each of these events. He works closely with all staff to determine the best programs and events to meet the needs of students and external partners.

Todd earned his M.A. degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University and his B.S. degree in Psychology from Texas Christian University. Todd has presented at state and regional conferences and his background in higher education includes academic advising, international student advising /programming and managing study abroad programs.
