Wherever your future takes you, the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center is here for you. All career services are offered at no charge to alumni. We encourage you to explore new opportunities, further enhance your career development, and network with many local and national employers through these programs and services.

Individual career and service advising appointments are available by stopping by the office directly or by contacting us at: 210-436-3102 or through emailing the Center. These appointments offer a variety of services, including strategic job search assistance, career exploration or transition, as well as graduate and professional school application process and material review.

    Alums, you are the future of today's St. Mary's students. Share your insight, provide guidance and highlight professional opportunities through these programs and events:


    There are many ways in which alumni can participate in service opportunities:

    • Volunteer at Continuing the Heritage
    • Attend the Civic Engagement and Career Development Centers Homecoming Oyster Bake Open House
    • Create one-time service projects in your neighborhood
    • Participate in civic engagement programs and events (typically are free and open to the public)
    • Attend the Fall Volunteer Fair
    • Attend the Spring Not-For-Profit Career Expo
    • Donate toys and other needed items during the St. Mary's University Miracle on 36th Street Community Christmas activities and participate in the Toy & Donation Drive
    • Give blood during the Fall and Spring blood drives
    • Sponsor ROAM Alternative Spring Break and other Service Immersion Trips, as well as other long-term service programs
