Each year, the St. Mary's University community celebrates the life of Martin Luther King Jr. through reflection, education and action. Easily learn more about our MLK programming below and find out how you can join us for this year's events.

Martin Luther King Jr. March

Celebrate the dream by participating in San Antonio's annual MLK event.

You're invited to join the St. Mary's delegation in the nation's largest Martin Luther King Jr. march on Monday, January 21, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you would like to participate, please sign up by 4:30 p.m., on Thursday January 17, 2013, via Rattler Connect or by contacting the Civic Engagement and Career Development Center.

On the day of the march, participants can meet either: at the march starting location (Martin Luther King Jr. Academy), or on campus at the entrance of the Alumni Athletics & Convocation Center (AA&CC) facing Parking Lot T, by 8:30 a.m.

Marianist Heritage Mass and Awards
The Marianist Heritage Award, given each year since 1981, recognizes faithfulness to the Marianist heritage. It is expressed by an interest in the development of the Marianist charism through efforts at increasing knowledge and working for its transformation into practice in the University community. Join us for this mass and award ceremony at 11:10 A.M. in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel

Drop by for a movie viewing and civil rights discussion on “The Help”. Free snacks and great discussion will be provided! This program will be located in Anthony Fredrick Lounnge start at 7pm!

Continuing the Heritage Service Day
Since 1998, students, faculty, and staff have celebrated the service tradition of Catholic and Marianist heritage. Volunteers help by picking up brush, cleaning graffiti, stocking food pantries, repainting buildings, and visiting the elderly.
