Students Walking

The St. Mary’s University Career Services Center is designed around you for each stage of your career development and through the implementation of your career plans as a student and as an alumni.

Through individual appointments, our Career Advisors provide guidance for the development of an effective strategy for admission to graduate/professional school or success in an internship/job search campaign. Students can also stop by for a walk-in visits, and can reach Career Advisors for assistance through email and phone consultations. Out of the office, you will see our Career Advisors offering tailored presentations in your classes, to your student organizations or in your residence halls.

In order to meet your needs for up to date career information, the Handouts section of our website contains comprehensive guides including résumé and cover letter development, interview preparation, networking, and job search planning. Also, be sure to read the monthly Career Activist newsletter detailing recruiting events, helpful career preparation articles and upcoming CSC programs. This will come to your residence hall and is also available online. The Career Services Center also sponsors an active campus recruiting program and lists current full and part time positions, internship opportunities, and summer jobs through the CareerZone job listing service.

To effectively use the services of the office, students should meet with a Career Advisor early in their college career to develop strategies for success.
