Aquatics, as part of Campus Recreation serves to provide programs and facilities for formal and informal aquatic recreation for the St. Mary's University community. There are currently two pools for use on the campus, an indoor pool in the AA&CC and the outdoor pool behind Treadaway Hall. Any currently enrolled students, faculty and staff with their Rattler card may enjoy the pool.

Indoor Pool Hours

Guests are welcome with a member, $5 per person to enjoy the entire AA&CC facility.
Monday - Thursday 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 9 pm
Sunday 12 p.m. - 10 pm

There are lifeguarding opportunities available during the Fall/Spring semesters.

Outdoor Pool Hours

Monday - Friday4 - 8 p.m.
Saturday and SundayNoon to 6 p.m.

Outdoor pool will be closed beginning September 28, 2009.

Policies

  • Diving is allowed on the 1-meter board only.
  • Only one person on the diving board at a time.
  • Diving area is hazardous for swimmers. Swim to the side of the pool immediately after diving.
  • Jump off the board only after the person before reaches the wall. Swimming under the board is hazardous.
  • Only one bounce on the board.
  • Jump straight off the diving board.
  • Catching children jumping off the board is prohibited.
  • Handstands and sailor dives (head first, hands at side) are dangerous and prohibited.
  • Diving in which the head rotates back towards the board (such as inwards and gainers or reverses) are strictly prohibited.
  • Children using the diving board must be able to swim two widths of the pool without assistance.
  • Children wearing floatation devices are not allowed to jump off the diving board.
  • Diving blocks are not available for use during recreational swim times.
