G.I. Benefits
Veterans, service personnel, and their dependents who have been accepted for admission and who qualify for G.I. benefits should apply for the necessary eligibility forms from the Veterans Certification Officer on campus located in the Office of Financial Assistance.
Veterans enrolled under the current Public Law provisions are subject to the same conditions concerning payment of accounts as those applicable to any other student.
Active Military Benefits Tuition Assistance Information
- The tuition rate for part-time military undergraduate students is $260.00 per credit hour. Please refer to the Evening Studies for qualifications.
- The tuition rate for Graduate military is $260.00 per credit hour. Please refer to the Graduate School for qualifications.
- Summer semester begins May 27, Fall semester begins August 15, and Spring semester begins January 15.
- Military students should submit their Tuition Assistance paperwork to the Business Office each semester and as soon as possible in order to expedite billing and receipt of payment.
- Payment for any balance not covered by the military is due 90 days after the first day classes begin for each semester; therefore, payment is due August 31 for Summer, November 15 for the Fall, and April 15 for the Spring.
- If payment is not received by these dates, a $150 late payment fee will be assessed.
- For students who are taking all courses at a military base and/or off campus, the Student Service Fee and University Center/AACC Fee will be reversed.
- If a parking permit is not obtained from Campus Police, this charge will also be reversed.
VA Benefits Information

VA Chapter 31 students are required to submit all paperwork to the Veteran’s Certification Officer in the Office of Financial Assistance.

The Business Office must receive notification from the Veteran’s Certification Officer in order to process the billing for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

VA Chapter 31 students can purchase their necessary books and supplies from the University Bookstore up to 45 days after the start of the semester for the Fall and Spring semesters: that is Oct 1- Fall, March 1- Spring.

VA Chapter 31 students are allotted up to $75 for supplies plus the cost of course required books.

Students are only allowed to purchase each course required book only one time. Multiple purchases of the same book are NOT allowed.
