Bordeaux trip
Jeff Johnson, Ph.D., Professor and Director of the Center for Global Business Studies, accompanied nine students to Bordeaux, Paris and Brussels this summer.
United Arab Emirates
Accounting Professor Sam Sedki and Dean Singh led the March 2012 trip to the United Arab Emirates, which was a part of Sedki's course on Business Environment and Public Policy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The nine students on the trip were Kevin Donahue, Sissi Fernandez, Aaron Godinez, Luis Maldonado, Lisa Martinez, Andrea Mitra, Erika Rendon, Olga Zavala-Handal and Norah Alnaim.
Malta
Professor Mathew Joseph, Ph.D, traveled with 15 students to the Islands of Malta in the Mediterranean for a March study aboard adventure. The students visited historical sites such as the St. Paul's Catacombs and the Mdina Cathedral, companies such as the Simonds Farsons Group of Companies and Hawk Aerospace; and public entities such as the Central Bank of Malta and the Malta Tourism Board.
The students on the trip were: Delissa Villa, Sofia Del Cid, Courtney Howell, Vanessa Marques, Kara Tapangan, Marianne Medina, Ginette Garcia, Melissa Valdes, Addy Rodriguez, Judith Molina, Mason Rodriguez, Brian Arquisola, Andy Vargas, Ryan Salts and Karl Wacker.
Hong Kong
International Business Professor Jeffrey Johnson, Ph.D., served as the field director for the Entrepreneur Scholars Program's March trip to Hong Kong and Macau. While traveling, the students spent time on original research, as well as visiting agencies and businesses, such as the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Invest HK, which is the primary economic development agency.
Students on this international immersion trip were Rafael Pineyro, Miguel Melgarejo, Tanairi Ochoa, Portia Gresham, Abigail Hernandez, Ali Meyer, Andrew Michalek, Brissa Renteria and John Sandoval.
Argentina
Tanuja Singh, D.B.A., Dean of the Bill Greehey School of Business; M.B.A. Director Earnie Broughton; and Graduate Dean Henry Flores, Ph.D., traveled to South America in April to explore ideas for international collaboration and do some sightseeing.
