American Marketing Association

The St. Mary's University Chapter of the American Marketing Association fosters scientific study and research in the field of marketing. It aims to improve the methods and techniques of marketing research, develop better public understanding and appreciation of marketing problems, encourage and uphold sound, honest practices, and to uphold the highest ethical standards in marketing operations.

Association for Information Technology Professionals

The student AITP chapter fosters a better understanding of the vital business role of information technology. It also teaches students about the relationship between information technology and management and lets students network with other IT professionals. Students in ISM, CS, and CIS at the graduate or undergraduate level are encouraged to participate. St. Mary's University AITP student chapter is supported by the San Antonio chapter of AITP, the South Central region of AITP, and AITP at the national level.

Delta Epsilon Sigma

National Catholic School Honor Society and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities provide opportunities for students to acheive honor recognitions. Membership is by invitation and limited to junior students in the top 10 percent of their class.

Delta Sigma Pi

The Lambda Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity that fosters the study of business in universities. It encourages scholarship, social activities and the association of students for their mutual advancement and to further a higher standard of ethics and culture.

Finance Club

The purpose of the Finance Club is to accomplish three goals. First, to expand awareness of the professional careers in the field of Finance. Second, to provide a network between club members and local corporations for possible internships, employment and mentorships. Finally, to engage in community service to.

Human Resources Management Club

The Human Resources Club provides valuable information regarding the Human Resources field such as: recruiting, training and development, employee benefits, employee relations and consulting. With the Human Resources Club, members gain professional exposure through guest speakers and company tours. This affords members many networking opportunities. The Human Resources Club also provides resources for members to obtain internships and scholarships.

International Business Club

The International Business Club enhances your knowledge of the global business arena. The primary objectives of the Club are to provide its members with: (1) a platform for educational, professional and cultural exchanges; (2) a forum for intellectual debate, discussion, and presentation of current topics of global significance; (3) opportunities to network with executives and professionals; and (4) opportunities to participate in community and civic projects.

These are achieved through lectures and presentations by high-ranking business executives, field trips, weekly professional presentations, discussion of current topics, fund raising and community service projects.

M.B.A. Association

The purpose of the MBA Association is to improve educational, social and business opportunities in the MBA program through interaction with members, faculty, alumni and the business community. It encourages academic excellence and student expression; provides a vehicle for the informal aspects of graduate expression; aids new members in scheduling and planning; conducts activities conducive to the welfare of the graduate student; and supports the values of St. Mary's University.

The St. Mary's chapter of Toastmasters International helps students to practice public speaking in an environment of camaraderie and positive reinforcement.
