Richard J. Bauer, Ph.D., CFA, CMT, is the author of Genetic Algorithms and Investment Strategies (1994) and co-author (with Dr. Julie Dahlquist) of Technical Market Indicators (1999), both published by John Wiley & Sons. He is also the co-author (with Dr. Julie Dahlquist) of Technical Analysis of Gaps (2012) published by FT Press/Pearson. His other research has appeared in a variety of academic journals. In 2011 he (with J. Dahlquist) won the Dow Award, the most prestigious award of the Market Technicians' Association.
Bauer has served as President (1996-97) of the CFA Society of San Antonio. At St. Mary's, he has served as Associate Dean (1994-97) and M.B.A. director (1992-94) of the Bill Greehey School of Business, and as President of the St. Mary's University Faculty Senate (1998-99). Prior to earning his doctorate, Bauer worked as a manager and owner of small businesses. He has travelled to 18 different countries. He is married, is the father of 4 children, and has 5 grandchildren. He is an active member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church, where he teaches an adult Sunday School class.

Until July 2011, Earnest Broughton served as Executive Director of the Ethics Program for the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and reported directly to USAA's President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to accepting the ethics position at USAA in May 2000, he served as an Executive Director in Consumer Finance and Auto Services at USAA Federal Savings Bank for six years. He has an additional 14 years of experience in human resources executive management in the financial services sector.
Earnie served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, the world's largest association of ethics and compliance professionals, from 2009 through 2011. From 2006 to 2008, he was Vice Chair of the Washington-based Ethics Resource Center (ERC) Fellows Program and continues to serve as a Senior Advisor to the group. The ERC is the oldest non-profit in the United States dedicated to the study of organizational ethics. Earnie co-founded the Greater San Antonio Ethics and Compliance Roundtable with Matt Gilley, Bill Greehey Chair in Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. He also chaired the San Antonio Ethics in Business Awards from 2010 though 2012.

Prior to entering academia, Professor Edward G. Cole was an officer in the United States Army Medical Department and hospital administrator. He has taught for the U.S. Army/Baylor University program and at Trinity University. Prior to returning to academics in 1989 when he joined the St. Mary's University faculty, he operated his own market research firm.
Cole assumed the directorship of the Small Business Institute at St. Mary's University in 1992; his research interest is the application of management and marketing theory in a small business environment.

Suzanne N. Cory, Ph.D., is a full professor of accounting. Prior to beginning her academic career, Cory was employed in public accounting. She has extensive academic experience with a teaching speciality in financial accounting. She has taught in several international venues, including Austria, England and Spain.
Her research interests include behavioral and gender issues in accounting and accounting education. Cory has authored and co-authored numerous articles in journals such as "Today's CPA", "The Journal of Accounting Education", "Journal of Business Ethics", "The CPA Journal", "Strategic Finance", "Journal of Business Issues", "The Accounting Educator's Journal", "Southwestern Business Administration Journal", "Entrepreneurial Executive", and "The Review of Business." She has mentored undergraduate students who completed research projects, resulting in professional presentations and peer-reviewed journal publications. In addition to presenting scholarly papers at academic meetings, she is active in the American Accounting Association and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs.

Adrian M. Cowan, Ph.D., CFP, joined the faculty of St. Mary's University in 2006. Since joining St. Mary's, she has received numerous awards for her teaching, research and service. She is the advisor for the University's student managed portfolio. This portfolio is managed using faith-based investment guidelines and all investment decisions are directed 100% by students. Dr. Cowan also teaches beginning investments, as well as portfolio management in the M.B.A. program.
Dr. Cowan's research interests include credit risk, financial derivatives, banking, and ethics in finance. She has published in such journals as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Services Research, International Journal of Banking and Finance, International Business Review, Commercial Lending Review, and Bank Accounting and Finance.

Brooke R. Envick, Ph.D. joined the faculty at St. Mary's University in 1996, shortly after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is the Paul C. Goelz Chair in Entrepreneurship, Director of the Meadows Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and Director of the Entrepreneur Scholars Program. She also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Forum on Entrepreneurship Breakfast Series. Envick specializes her teaching in entrepreneurship, leadership, and small business management. She has received 11 teaching awards, including the Outstanding Educator Award for Innovative and Creative Teaching from the Academy of Educational Leadership. Envick has published 23 peer reviewed journal articles in 12 different entrepreneurship and business management journals and is on the editorial board for the Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies. She has received 13 distinguished research awards at national and international conferences. K. Matthew Gilley, Ph.D., is the Bill Greehey Chair in Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in the Greehey School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in strategic management from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining the Greehey School, Gilley served on the faculty of the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University and on the business faculty at James Madison University.
Gilley's teaching centers on ethics, corporate social responsibility and business strategy. He was awarded the Regents’ Distinguished Teaching Award and the Greiner Teaching Award at OSU and was nominated for other teaching awards multiple times. He has consulted corporations and government agencies on issues of business ethics, social responsibility and strategic management. He is a co-founder of the Greater San Antonio Ethics & Compliance Roundtable.
Professor Gilley became an Invited Academic Fellow of the Ethics Resource Center in Washington, DC in 2008. The ERC Fellows are a select group of corporate, government, non-profit, and academic leaders who engage in meaningful dialog and cutting edge research on critical ethics issues.
His research interests include the relationship between executive compensation and ethical/unethical behavior, corporate governance and outsourcing. His work has been published or is forthcoming in the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Research, and others.

Jeffrey E. Johnson, Ph.D., holds a doctoral degree in International Business from the University of Strathclyde and an Master of Business of Administration with an emphasis in International Business from the University of Colorado. Johnson's research interests include small firm internationalization strategy, international entrepreneurship, and micromultinationals. Gail Kaciuba taught accounting for nearly ten years before going to graduate school for a Ph.D. in managerial economics and decision sciences from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Despite the game-theoretic Ph.D., she decided she still wanted to teach accounting. She taught at DePaul University's School of Accountancy in Chicago for 13 years before moving to Texas. In Texas, she s taught at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, and Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Dr. Kaciuba is now happily settled at the Bill Greehey School of Business at St Mary's University in San Antonio.
After teaching both financial and cost accounting, she began teaching auditing five years ago. Her research areas have spanned ethics, activity-based accounting in health care, game-theoretic analysis of the oil and gas industry (after the move to Texas, of course!), and pedagogical issues. The journals that have published her work include Journal of the American Taxation Association, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Education, Oil and Gas Quarterly, Healthcare Financial Management, and the Journal of Business Ethics. Currently Dr. Kaciuba is on the editorial review board of Issues in Accounting Education. At St. Mary's University, she holds the Emil Jurica Distinguished Professor of Accounting chair and is the AACSB Assurance of Learning Coordinator.

Prior to earning her doctorate, Margaret R. Langford, Ph.D., worked for several years both in banking operations and in public education. Her teaching interests include organizational behavior, managerial practices and concepts, and employment law. Research interests include organizational culture, legal issues in employment, and improving teaching effectiveness.
She has co-authored articles published in Equal Opportunities International, Journal of Behavior and Entrepreneurship, Academy of Entrepreneurship Journal, Entrepreneurial Executive, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Latin American Business Review, and the Journal of Managerial Issues. Seongbae Lim, Ph.D., joined St. Mary's University as an associate professor of Information Systems. He specializes in innovation and convergence management, e-commerce, database management, and management information systems. His prior teaching experience includes the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and State University of New York at Geneseo.
Lim's specialized research interests are in the areas of innovation and convergence management, service management and entrepreneurship. Recent works have appeared in the International Journal of Knowledge Management, Service Industries Journal, and International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. He has done many special lectures and keynote speeches about innovation and convergence management for world-renowned institutes such as Peking University, Moscow State University, Kanda Foreign Study University, and Seoul National University, Global Convergence Forum.
Lim is active in the Association of Information Systems, Decision Science Institute and the Pan Pacific Business Association. He has also served as an editor for Service Business, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Management, and Journal of Convergence Information Technology. He is director of operations for the Pan Pacific Business Association.
Lim has been selected for Marquis Who's Who in America along with Who's Who in the World since 2005. The International Herald Tribune has featured Dr. Lim regarding his role in building the relationship between US and Korean universities. Tom Madison, Ph.D., CPA, joined the faculty of the Bill Greehey School of Business in 1998. His primary teaching interests are in financial accounting, cost/managerial accounting, and management control systems. Dr. Madison has also been a member of teaching teams with faculty of the St. Mary's graduate program in International Relations for immersion courses in economic development in Nicaragua, Bangladesh, and Bolivia. Dr. Madison is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, the National Community Tax Coalition, and serves on the board and is treasurer of Accion Texas-Louisiana, the largest non-profit micro-lender in the U.S. He also coordinates the St. Mary's University Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Professor Martinez came to the Bill Greehey School of Business in 1999. Since then, he has taught several courses in the areas of Marketing, Management, Business Law, and General Business, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, his research interests include investigating stereotypes and perceptions of members of business occupations. Professor Martinez has been the recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award presented by the students for three straight years since 2009.
Prior to earning his Juris Doctorate, he was employed with the mortgage industry in various capacities. After graduation from law school, Professor Martinez accepted a position as a law clerk with a bankruptcy judge.

Zaida Martinez, Ph.D. received her doctorate in international business from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining St. Mary�s University she was a faculty member and chair of the Business Department in the Business School of South Carolina State University. During her tenure at St. Mary�s she has served as co-director of the Southern Cone Studies Program and as either director or co-director of three U.S. Department of Education grants. She has also served as an internationalization consultant to the University of Puerto Rico, the Alamo Community College District and Georgetown College.
Her teaching experience includes cross-cultural management, business environment of Latin America, globalization and international business. Her current research interests are in the areas of management education, international business ethics, and globalization. Her work has appeared in the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of International Management, Management International Review and the Journal of Catholic Higher Education. She also co-edited the book, International Business Scholarship.

During an 18-year banking career, Richard Menger, Ph.D., managed such diverse activities as market research and planning, international services, business development, advertising and public relations. He was also regional manager for strategic business planning for Texas' largest bank holding company and spent two years as a planning liaison with McKinsey & Co. His primary research interests include links between planning process characteristics and firm performance, executive succession and shareholder wealth, international management structure and communications, media ethics and the private equity industry's role in mergers and acquisitions.
Active in a number of academic, professional and community organizations, Menger has served as organizational behavior and strategic management track chair for the Southwest Academy of Management and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Round Table Group. He also serves as a board member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame and trustee of The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation and a member of the Community Advisory Board for Goodwill Industries.
His publications have appeared in the Journal of Marketing Management, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management, Southwest Business Review, Journal of Asian Business, Managerial Finance and Texas Banking. He also is a co-editor of International Business Scholarship, a 2001 publication by Quorum Books.

Ronald D. Merrell, Ph.D., served as dean of the Graduate School from 1984-2004. Merrell has also served as president and vice president of the Association of Texas Graduate Schools and was previously director of the Master of Business Administration and Systems Management programs for eight years at St. Mary's University.
His teaching experience includes organizational behavior and other management courses involving human resources, organizations, strategy, and labor.
His management consulting experience includes helping clients achieve world class operations and a sustainable competitive advantage, developing a highly committed high performance workforce, providing training in leadership development, project management, and self managed teams. This consulting may include financial analysis, an audit of operations, creating organization culture, developing a marketing strategy, or assisting the organization in aligning human resource practices, policies, and programs with the corporate strategy.

Eileen Wall Mullen, Ph.D., is associate professor of marketing in the Bill Greehey School of Business. She holds a Ph. D. From Texas A&M University (College Station). Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Mullen worked in marketing at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where she was awarded the company's R.B. Hall Award for field marketing excellence. Subsequently, she held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, with her most recent position being manager of national retail training for Gold Crown Card Shops.
Dr. Mullen has taught courses in Services Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Management, and Retailing. Her research in services marketing has been published in The Journal of Hospitality Management, Academy of Management Perspectives and The Journal of Management and Marketing Research.
Dr. Wall was the 2008 Distinguished Faculty Member for the Bill Greehey School of Business and the school s 2005 recipient of Comemorative Award for Faculty Research.

Mary Ann Murray, Ph.D., received her doctorate in production and operations management with a minor in statistics; she also holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in management information systems. Prior to joining St. Mary's University, Murray taught as a faculty member in the School of Business at John Carroll University. Since joining St. Mary's, Murray has served as department chairperson of the Department of Finance and Quantitative Management, as well as director of the Innsbruck study abroad program. Her teaching experience includes courses in production and operations management, quantitative methods, inventory and material management, and production control systems and scheduling.
Murray's current research interests are in TQM applications and nonlinear applications to health care and education. She has been actively involved in many professional associations, including Decision Sciences Institute and the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

Professor Oliva joined the faculty of the Bill Greehey School of Business in 2003 and currently focuses her teaching and research interests in the areas of accounting, business ethics, legal ethics and the legal environment of business. She has also taught Property I, Property II, Insurance Law and Federal Income Taxation at St. Mary's University School of Law.
Prior to earning her J.D., she was an auditor with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney and an accountant with a local medical office. After graduation from law school, Oliva joined the law firm of Oliva, Saks, Garcia & Curiel, LLP, and primarily concentrated her legal practice in the areas of wills, probate, estate planning, family law, and personal injury law and corporate law. She is President-Elect of the Bexar County Women's Bar Association and Foundation and a member of the State Bar of Texas and the San Antonio Bar Association. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Texas, the Federal District Court of the Western District and the United States Supreme Court.
On a personal note, Oliva is an active member of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church and enjoys live theater, sporting events and world travel with her husband, Javier, and four sons.

Prasad Padmanabhan, Ph.D., joined St. Mary's Bill Greehey School of Business in 2002. He has previously held full time positions at San Diego State University, the Pennsylvania State University, Vanderbilt University, McGill University and Concordia University.
A prolific researcher, he has published over 25 articles in several prominent professional and academic journals including International Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Journal of International Management, Financial Review, Journal of Global Business, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Global Finance Journal, and Financial Analysts Journal. He is also the Global Associate Editor for the Journal of Information Technology Case and Applications Research.<
Padmanabhan is dedicated and accomplished in the classroom, specializing in teaching international finance, investments, corporate finance, financial management and international business. Monica J. Parzinger, Ph.D., joined the faculty of the Bill Greehey School of Business in fall 2001. Her current teaching and research emphasis is management of information technology, project management, business intelligence, enterprise resource planning systems, and accounting information systems. Her research appears in Software Quality Journal, Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering, E-Service Journal, Information Strategy: The Executive's Journal, Advanced Management Journal, Journal of Information Technology Management and Total Quality Management as well as conference proceedings.
Parzinger received her Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University as an Accounting major and an M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky. H. Richard Priesmeyer, Ph.D., teaches strategic management and marketing in the Bill Greehey School of Business. His research has focused on the practical applications of nonlinear systems theory which allow for the control and management of complex and unpredictable systems. He is the recipient of two National Institute of Health (NIH) grants addressing cardiovascular rehabilitation (1997) and bipolar disorder (2011).
Priesmeyer has been a consultant to healthcare organizations for a number of years and is author of the book "Organizations and Chaos: Defining the Methods of Nonlinear Management." S. Sam Sedki, Ph.D., joined the faculty of the Bill Greehey School of Business in 1981 as a professor of accounting; he served as chairman of the accounting department for eight years and director of graduate accounting programs for two year. Sedki has held various national and regional positions within the American Accounting Association, twice serving as vice president and program chair. He has been vice president of the Administrators of Accounting Group and is one of the founders of the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association.
He also chaired various committees of the Financial Executives International(FEI), serving as treasurer of FEI (1995-96), secretary (1996-1997), vice president (1997-1998) and president (1998-99). Sedki, author of the Financial Accounting Study Guide, has published in national and regional referred journals and proceedings and is editor of the Journal of the Academy of Business Administration.

Tanuja Singh is the Dean of the Bill Greehey School of Business. She holds a doctorate in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Singh's teaching, research, and consulting interests include global and cross-cultural marketing strategy, digital marketing, and public policy issues in marketing. She has published over 45 papers in internationally acclaimed journals, and national and international conferences. Her papers have been published in such journals as Business Horizons, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Research in Consumer Behavior, International Business Review, International Journal of Electronic Marketing and Retailing Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, Journal of Asia Pacific Business, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales management, The Marketing Management Journal, Journal of Not-for-Profit and Public Sector Marketing and Journal of Vacation Marketing, among others. David W. Sommer, Ph.D., joined St. Mary's University in 2007 as the Charles E. Cheever Chair of Risk Management. He received his B.B.A. degree from St. Mary's University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. For the twelve years prior to his return to St. Mary's, he was a faculty member in risk management and insurance at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
During his career, Sommer has taught at the undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. levels in the areas of corporate risk management and employee benefits. He has received a number of teaching honors, including the Terry College Teacher of the Year award and the St. Mary's University Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Sommer's research has been published in a variety of academic and professional journals, including Journal of Risk and Insurance, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Risk Management and Insurance Review, Journal of Insurance Regulation, Journal of the American Society of CLU and ChFC, and the Journal of Insurance Issues. Jerry D. Todd, Ph.D., held the position of Cheever Professor of Risk Management from 1981-2007. Prior to that, he taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and the University of Texas at Austin.
He has authored dozens of books and articles on risk and insurance and has held associate or assistant editorships with six different academic and professional journals. Currently, he is assistant editor of two journals, one academic and one professional.
He is past president of the American Risk and Insurance Association, as well as the Southern and Western Risk and Insurance Associations and has served as chairman of Moderators for the International Insurance Society. Todd won awards for both research (outstanding feature article in the Journal of Risk and Insurance) and teaching (Distinguished Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching by the Alumni Association of St. Mary's).

He is the author or co-author of ten books, dozens of refereed journal articles and other publications. In addition, he is a consultant to many schools on their internationalization efforts. Prior to joining St. Mary's University, he was director of the doctorate program in international business at the University of South Carolina.
Most recently, he was a past chair of the International Management Division, Academy of Management, a past vice-president of the Academy of International Business, former Fulbright Scholar to Colombia, associate editor of the Journal of International Business Studies and consultant to UNIDO. Stephanie Ward, Ph.D., joined the faculty of Bill Greehey School of Business in 2004. Prior to working on her Ph.D., Ward worked as an auditor and manager in the insurance and banking industries. Currently, she is the Director of the Greehey Scholars Program and an Associate Professor in the Management Department. Her teaching areas include courses in Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Negotiation, and Management Seminar. She has received teaching awards both at the University of Houston and St. Mary s University. She was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2009 and the Outstanding Faculty Award by the Dean's Student Advisory Board in 2011.
Her research explores questions about rewards, psychological contracts, organizational justice, and service learning. Orion J. Welch, Ph.D., joined joined the school in 1995 as an assistant professor of information systems. He holds a doctorate in management information systems from the University of Memphis and a masters in management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. His research publications include a total of 37 academic journal articles, proceedings, and presentations at national and regional academic conferences.
His current research interests are in the areas of supply chain management, computer fraud, and corporate social responsibility. Prior to coming to San Antonio, Welch held a number of positions with the Department of Defense, including Director of Telecommunications and Information Systems at the Defense Logistic Agency in Memphis and staff representative to the National Communications Security Board in Washington.
He was the Dierdre Hawkins Richards Professor of Entrepreneurship for 1999-2000 and received the Distinguished Faculty Award for the Bill Greehey School of Business for 2005-2006. He is an active member of the American Accounting Association and the International Association of Computer Information Systems.
