Soon you will be also able to:

  • Elect to add a bookstore charge
  • Request Official Transcripts
  • Pay for Transcripts

Plus you will be able to do all of this at ANY time, when and where it is convenient for you!

In addition to how going green provides faster and better services to you as a student, we are also trying to do our part to ensure that we leave this planet better for everyone!

Green Living

We're making efforts campus wide to keep our planet clean by reducing waste through several recycling program. For example, all of our offices recycle office paper and computer ink and toner cartridges. Recycling bins have been placed in residence halls and administration buildings with high traffic areas all over campus. In addition, most departments have also begun using reusable items such as bags, coffee mugs, glasses, and water bottles as part of our daily routines!

Here are some ways you can help our environment too!

DIG THIS. By planting trees you can reduce home cooling costs by more than 50% and grow yourself a little shade on for a warm summer day!

Empower yourself! Green power is available in 37 states. Ask for it where you are. DEMAND IT!

A BRIGHTER IDEA! Compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) last up to ten times longer than traditional bulbs and use only a fraction of the energy savings you $30-$50 over their lifespan!

If every American household changed 5 traditional light bulbs to CFLs it would be like removing 800,000 cars from the highways!

RALLY YOUR ROAD CREW! Did you know that Americans waste 2.3 billion gallons of gas every year while stuck in traffic? Carpool and help relieve some congestion.

PUMP UP AND PUMPING LESS! Properly inflated tires can improve your gas mileage enough to earn you a free tank of gas every year!

MASS TRANSPORTATION! Ride public transit and help conserve an estimated 1.4 billion gallons of gas & curb the release of roughly 1.5 million tons of harmful CO2 a year.

Buy carbon offsets to help counteract the CO2 pollution from your next big trip.

POWER DOWN! The US alone wastes over $1 billion a year on computer monitors that are turned on when they shouldn t be.

GET UNPLUGGED! Yes even when you are not using your electronics you are STILL using energy because they have been left plugged in including cell phone chargers.

SHOP AROUND! Lower the CO2 emissions of your appliances and electronics by up to 50% by buying the most energy efficient ones available.

The average person uses six papers napkins/towels a day. By cutting out just one you are helping to reduce waste by a BILLION pounds!

BUY REUSABLE! More than 380 million plastic bags are thrown away in the United States every year, and those plastic bags can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade in landfills. And while paper bags do eventually biodegrade, an estimated 14 million trees a year have to be cut down to make 10 billion paper bags. Reusable items include canvas bags, refillable water bottles, coffee filters, glassware, plates, napkins, silverware.

REDUCE YOUR JUNK MAIL! About 100 million trees are chopped down each year in order to bury you in junk mail. Go to www.dmaconsumer.org to find out what companies are sending you the most junk mail and the contact information so that you can cal and have the junk mail stopped. Also by calling 1-888-567-8688 you can opt out of the preapproved offers from several of the major credit companies.

TURN IT DOWN! Turn down the thermostat in cold weather and keep it higher in warm weather. Each degree below 68Â °F (20Â °C) during colder weather saves 3%-5% more heating energy, while keeping your thermostat at 78Â °F in warmer weather will save you energy and money.

GET ACTIVE! Get involved with other national or international organizations that fight to help the earth and all of its inhabitants. Like Repower America, World Wildlife Fund, Green Peace, and many more!

We can all do a lot to help save our world by doing a little!
