Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Softball and more

Sports do not take a summer vacation at St. Mary's University. Although intercollegiate athletics do not compete at that time, there are a variety of athletic opportunities to be found at the summer sports camps offered by the St. Mary's athletics department. Expert instruction in baseball, basketball, soccer and softball in day camp, half-day camp and overnight camp formats is available for youth aged 6-18 every June and July.

JUNE 2009: Charlie Migl School of Baseball

Baseball Camp

The Charlie Migl School of Baseball camp is open to boys, 6 to 15 years of age. Students will receive instructions on all aspects of the game including hitting, pitching/throwing, defensive play and base running.

  • Camp A - June 8 - 11, 9 a.m. - noon
  • Camp B - June 16 - 18, 9 a.m. - noon
  • Camp C - June 22 - 25, 9 a.m. - noon

June 2009: Coach Z's Basketball Camp

Basketball Camp

The Jim Zeleznak Basketball Camp will hold four week-long sessions during June 2009.

  • Half-day and all day camps for boys and girls ages six to 18 will be held June 8-11, June 15-18, and June 22-25
  • Week-long overnight camp for boys and girls ages 10 to 18 will be during the week of June 21-25
  • Big Man Camps and Perimeter Skills Camp will be held for high school girls June 22-25 and for 8th and 9th grade boys June 8-11.

Prices for the camps vary based on the type and number of camps participated in and discounts are available for children of St. Mary's University faculty and staff members. For more information:

JUNE 2009: Around The Horn Softball Camp

Softball Camp

The 2008 Around The Horn Softball Camp will cover all facets of the game, with a major emphasis on hitting and pitching, and feature new and exciting variations.

  • All day - June 8-12, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon
  • All day - June 15-19, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon

  • Half day - June 8-12, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon
  • Half day - June 15-19, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon

JUNE 2009: Total Soccer Camp

Soccer Camp

The Total Soccer camp includes all-day, half-day and overnight sessions. The camps are geared towards preparing the serious soccer player for the next level. Each practice will mirror an actual college session.

  • All day and half-day - June 8-12, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • All day and half-day - June 15-19, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • All day and half-day - June 29-July 3, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Prospect/Overnight camp - June 28-July 3, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
