Ron PlunkettVice President (B.A. '69)
Vice President Ron Plunkett entered St. Mary's as a freshman in 1965, a time of rich Rattler history. Plunkett remembers his college days at St. Mary's when the cafeteria was a wooden hut behind Chaminade Hall while Doug Williams made his way through basketball history when Ed Messbarger was head coach and Buddy Meyer's as assistant coach. He remembers current head baseball coach Charlie Migl as a young player and former St. Mary's president Charlie Cotrell beginning his career as a political science professor.
During his time at St. Mary's, Plunkett pledged Sigma Beta Chi and often ran the concession stands at basketball games. He left St. Mary's in 1969 to take commission in the Army, severing in Europe and Vietnam.
Plunkett then returned to complete his bachelors degree in education and began teaching government and economics in the Northside School District until his retirement in 2006 after 34 years of service
