Mark Pawzun steps into his first year as President of Rattler Nation, having strong roots as a Rattler.

In 1975, Pawzun donned a Rattler uniform and started his four-year St. Mary's career on the basketball court after receiving an athletic scholarship. He then participated in the San Antonio Spurs Rookie Free Agent Camp in 1979 before completing his degree in finance in 1980.

Pawzun's Rattler roots continued as his daughter, Christina, is a current St. Mary's senior majoring in bio-chemistry. His son, Eric, is in the US Air Force and recently moved to Ramstein AFB in Germany with his wife Demi.

Pawzun and his wife, Renee, have been married nearly 27 years and for the past three years they both were Co-Chair of the Sweepstakes booth at Oyster Bake
