The Alumni Relations Team

The Alumni Relations staff provides opportunities for alumni to reconnect with each other and their alma mater. We coordinate events with the Alumni Association. Some of our favorites are the Homecoming Oyster Bake and Reunions, San Antonio alumni events, Distinguished Alumni Dinner, Faculty Appreciation Dinner and more.

Andrea joined the Alumni Relations team in December 2011 and is responsible for planning alumni events, developing and writing internal and external publications for Alumni Relations and Alumni Association purposes, i.e. invitations, AlumNotes, Alumni Association web pages, etc.

Administrative Assistant

Norma has worked in the Alumni Relations Office since 1994. She coordinates the Alumni Mass Card program and takes reservations for alumni events. She also supervises our student staff and oversees the daily operations of the Alumni Relations Office.

Executive Director

Pete has been the director of planned gifts and giving for St. Mary's since 1999. Pete's experience and background in cultivating and stewarding former students and donors has prepared him to lead our alumni relations' efforts. He is responsible for planning and executing alumni activities and programs and serving as the liaison to the Alumni Association. In 1997, he was inducted into the University's Athletics Hall of Fame.

Assistant Director, Fiesta Oyster Bake

For eight years, Meyer worked closely with the University s Alumni Association in conjunction with Fiesta Oyster Bake. His former employers include Halo Distributing and Ikon Document Services. Meyer joined the Alumni Relations staff in July 2006 and assists Steve Rosenauer in coordinating Fiesta Oyster Bake and other Alumni Association events.

Executive Director, Fiesta Oyster Bake
Director, Alumni Relations

Steve is the Executive Director of the Fiesta Oyster Bake and the Associate Director of Alumni Relations. He is the University liaison for the Alumni Association's St. Louis and San Antonio Young Alumni alumni chapters. He is also a board member of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.

Brother Al Gillis, S.M.
Benchmarking Coordinator

Brother Al joined the Society of Mary in 1984, taking his vows in 1985. He joined the Alumni Relations team in October 2004. His previous experience includes volunteer work at Catholic Charities in Dayton, OH; parish ministry in Michigan and Pennsylvania and working with young people at the St. John's Home for Boys in Rockaway, NY. When he is not working in the Office of Alumni Relations, Brother Al also does volunteer work at Central Catholic High School in San Antonio.
