The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University, appointed by the Board of Trustees, and is the first among equal Vice Presidents in the absence of the President. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs' primary concern is with the educational program, with whatever may lead to the increased effectiveness and improvement of this program, and with promoting among the various Schools a union of action based on the common objectives of the University. Academic Media Center

Student Retention

The Office of Student Retention (OSR) is a resource for students, parents, faculty and staff and is dedicated to helping improve the student experience at St. Mary's University, from day one through graduation. The main mission of OSR is to retain and graduate students. The goals of the Undergraduate Research Office are to increase the number of students participating in undergraduate research or increasing the number of publications/presentations from research involving undergraduate students and to ensure content/skill mastery, disciplinary socialization, and identity goals of undergraduate researchers. The St. Mary's University Student Psychological and Testing Services is a comprehensive service providing a full range of programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse student population. The mission of Student Psychological and Testing Services is to support the intellectual, emotional, social, and cultural development of students by offering a wide range of services, including personal and group counseling, consultation, and educational services. Service Learning Center - WINGS Program

The Workers Invested in kNowledge and Growth through Service (WINGS) College Work-Study Program places federal work-study students with local non-profit and community partner organizations - particularly in the areas of education, elderly, health care, and legal services. In conjunction with the Office of Financial Assistance, the Service Learning Center offers students the opportunity to take leadership and serve community partners on their majors, interests, and career goals.
