The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University, appointed by the Board of Trustees, and is the first among equal Vice Presidents in the absence of the President. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs' primary concern is with the educational program, with whatever may lead to the increased effectiveness and improvement of this program, and with promoting among the various Schools a union of action based on the common objectives of the University.

Service Learning Center - WINGS Program
The
Workers Invested in kNowledge and Growth through Service (WINGS) College Work-Study Program places federal work-study students with local non-profit and community partner organizations - particularly in the areas of education, elderly, health care, and legal services. In conjunction with the Office of Financial Assistance, the Service Learning Center offers students the opportunity to take leadership and serve community partners on their majors, interests, and career goals.
