History Club

The History Club is open to all students and is designed to create an interest in history and the craft of history especially among Freshmen and Sophmores. The History Club faculty advisor is Professor Gary Gordon who may be contacted at 210-436-3313 or ggordon@stmarytx.edu.

Phi Alpha Theta

The Honor Society, is a formal member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Its mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. The honor society seeks to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges which promote and assist historical research and publication. St. Mary's history majors are encouraged to join the campus chapter. Requirements for membership are fifteen hours of history while maintaining a “B” grade point average.
