Vision 2012

Strategic Plan for the University

A document outlining the strengths and challenges facing St. Mary's University began to take shape in May 2005 after consultations with board members, executives and key faculty and alumni.

Members of the University community, including faculty, staff, students and alumni, were then invited to participate in developing ideas to address these opportunities and challenges. The exchange of ideas by some 500 participants led to a constructive dialogue about the direction of the University.

We considered sacrosanct continuing the legacy of providing a strong Catholic liberal arts education in the Marianist tradition. We agreed that St. Mary's will remain an institution of choice if we continue to provide excellent academic preparation, pursue innovative teaching, maintain current information technology, and encourage a meaningful student life.
